Scanning and organizing channels on a TCL Google TV
How to rerun an automatic channel scan and reorganize the list from the Google TV menu, step by step.

When to rerun a channel scan
Three situations call for rerunning a scan: the channel installation step was skipped during initial setup, the TV reports no channels in TV mode, or the list simply needs updating after a change in your channel lineup.
Running the automatic scan
From TV mode, open the dashboard menu, select All settings, then Channels and inputs > Channels > Channel scan. The TV installs and arranges channels according to the selected country or region: choose Country/Region, enter the password set under All settings > System > Lock if prompted, then confirm the country. Next select Automatic search, choose the tuner mode (cable, antenna, or satellite depending on the model), configure the options offered, then start Search. The process can take several minutes.
Reorganizing the list after the scan
Once the scan finishes, channels are arranged in a preset order. To reorganize them, open the dashboard again and follow All settings > Channels and inputs > Channels > Edit Channels. This option isn't available when the tuner mode is set to Antenna and the country is set to United Kingdom.
Navigating without going through the menus
Once channels are installed, the direction buttons scroll through channels one by one, the OK button displays the full list for direct selection, and the dedicated previous/next-program buttons let you jump quickly back and forth between two channels.
