HP Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari AI: getting to know the ports and lights
Two Thunderbolt ports that double as the power connector, a battery light that shows a real percentage: the connectivity on this USB-C-only ultraportable.
No dedicated power connector — everything runs through USB-C
Unlike a conventional laptop, this machine has no proprietary power port at all: charging happens exclusively through one of the two USB-C Thunderbolt ports on the left side, which also handle fast USB peripherals or an external display via DisplayPort. Those same ports can also charge a small external device (like a smartphone) even while the laptop itself is off. The HDMI port, on the same side, rounds out video output for displays that aren't equipped with USB-C.
A battery light that gives a genuine percentage cue
Unlike a simple on/off light, this one distinguishes several clear thresholds: white above 90% charge, amber between 0 and 90%, off when the battery isn't charging. On battery power alone, a blinking amber light signals a low level, which speeds up as it approaches critical — a simple visual cue without needing to open Windows to check.
The infrared camera and reduced blue light mode
The display ships from the factory with reduced blue light mode already on, for better visual comfort, adjusting automatically based on the time of use. The infrared camera, separate from the regular webcam, enables facial recognition sign-in to Windows without a password.
