What tools to use to repair your iPhone 16 yourself
Torque drivers, a display press, an anti-static wrist strap: the equipment Apple actually recommends for a safe repair.

Personal protection
Safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, heat-resistant gloves, and nitrile gloves are part of the basic recommended equipment to protect yourself during the repair.
Display-specific tools
A protective cover for the display, removal wedges, a heated fixture, and a display press let you handle the screen without breaking it or damaging it further.
Battery-specific tools
Dedicated clips, a battery press, and adhesive removal tools let you extract and reinstall the battery without risking puncturing or damaging it.
Precision tools
Several torque drivers with different specifications, JCIS bits, security bits, and adjustable drivers are needed to fasten screws with exactly the right pressure — essential to avoid damaging screws or components.
A safe work environment
An ESD wrist strap, a properly grounded work mat, and suitable tweezers protect against electrostatic discharge. Microfiber cloths and cleaning solutions round out the equipment, along with Kapton tape, nylon probes, and sanding supplies for back glass work.
Where to get this equipment
Some tools with specific part numbers are available through Apple's Self Service Repair Store; others can be sourced from general electronics retailers.
