Two M.2 slots for the SSD, accessible RAM modules: what to know before adding memory or storage yourself.
Getting inside the machine
It all starts with removing the bottom cover: slide the lock to the left to release it, then slide the cover out with both hands until you hear a click, before lifting it off. This automatically cuts the system's power — normal behavior, not a fault, which resolves itself once you reattach the cover and plug the AC adapter back in.
Two slots for the M.2 SSD
The laptop has two separate M.2 slots for storage. After partially peeling off the protective film, turning the latch counterclockwise releases the module, which then comes out of the connector gently at an angle of less than 15 degrees. One serious point to watch: any thermal paste, thermal pad, or other thermal interface material removed along with the SSD must be fully cleaned off and replaced before reinstalling — it's best to have the replacement material on hand before starting, or to consult an authorized center if unsure.
Adding or replacing RAM
The memory modules sit under an absorber sheet that needs lifting first. From there, spreading the side clips apart releases each module, taking care not to exceed a 30-degree angle while handling it. When installing, carefully align the module in its slot before putting the absorber sheet back.
Once the job is done
Put every removed part back in reverse order, reattach the bottom cover until it clicks, then plug the AC adapter back in to restore the system's power.
