The Filter Clean Indicator on the indoor unit lights up to remind you when the air filter needs cleaning. Maintenance involves cleaning the filters using a vacuum cleaner or washing them with lukewarm water and a mild detergent.

The Ice Wash function for the coil

Beyond the filter, the Ice Wash function takes care of cleaning the indoor unit's evaporator coil. It works by freezing the coil and then defrosting it, which flushes out accumulated dust and grime — an area that's otherwise hard to reach.

Two complementary maintenance tasks, not interchangeable

Filter cleaning and the Ice Wash function address two different needs: the former deals with visible dust trapped by the air filter, the latter tackles buildup on the coil itself. Regularly maintaining both keeps the unit's cooling efficiency intact over time.
