The disassembly order to follow

Before doing anything, unplug the power cord and read the general safety instructions supplied with the computer. To reach the memory module or the M.2 SSD, parts need to be removed in a specific order: first the vertical stand, then the computer cover, then the front deco bezel (on certain chassis variants), the front bezel itself, and finally the storage drive bracket.

The M.2 SSD — a sensitive part to handle with care

Even once the power cord is unplugged, the M.2 SSD can still be hot right after use — it's best to turn off the computer and wait several minutes for it to cool before opening the cover. This component isn't designed for frequent replacement: it should only be swapped for an upgrade or a repair, never as a matter of habit.

What to absolutely avoid doing

Never touch the M.2 SSD's contact edge, as that could damage it. Don't apply pressure to it, or subject it to shocks or vibration — resting it on soft cloth helps absorb any handling. Finally, before any replacement, back up all the data you want to keep: the operation isn't reversible without a prior copy.
